The governor on a Gauze powered golf cart limits the ground rapidity thus protecting the engine from damage and the golf cart from overturning due to Exorbitant celerity. It is desirable to adjust the governor To admit in a superior way celerity for applications absent from the golf method. Running encircling the ranch, down the street or still on a hunting contract are daily uses that depend upon governor reconciliation.
Instructions
1. Drive the type of governor your golf cart has. The most average are spring loaded, a clutch and throttle combination and Last of all a spark regulator. The cable attaches to a lever on the carburetor. Loosen the cable nut and extend the length of cable until the governor is no longer activated when pressing the gas peddle.4.
Adjusting the tension on the spring will raise and lower the golf carts speed.
3. Lengthen the cable attached to the throttle body on a clutch and throttle two-stroke engine. Each is easily determined and further described in the remaining steps.2. Locate the spring assembly along the carts acceleration system. You'll find the spring located on the carburetor or the differential.
Bypass the spark regulator on an electronically controlled governor. Remove the wires from the governor and splice the ends together carefully and wrap the splice in electrical tape using a weatherproof joiner or twist connector. This method only works if the governor is separate from the ignition system. If your cart has a one piece ignition governor you'll have to replace it with a single ignition switch.
