Instructions
Remove the Old Pump
1. Catch apart the damp pump, the inlet hose, the aqua Issue and the Issue hose.6. Remove the air cleaner meeting, both cooling fan assemblies, the ride girdle tensioner pulley and the ride girth.
Disconnect the con battery cable.
3. Haul apart the electrical connector from the cooling fan and disconnect the intake air temperature sensor electrical connector and the Bulk airflow sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the air intake duct, the air cleaner meeting and both cooling fan assemblies.
5. Remove the extract plug to the block coolant and the knock sensor. Habitat a remove pan underneath the radiator. When the engine is frosty, empty the cooling system from the radiator into the pan.2.
7. Disconnect the inlet hose and the vent hose and the radiator.
8. Loosen and remove the moisten pump pulley and flood pump bolts and remove both parts from the engine.
Attach the New Pump
9. Install the drain plug.
10. Put in the new water pump, equipped with a new gasket, tightening the bolts to 22 foot pounds on the year 2000 or higher and 18 foot pounds (25 Nm) on the 1999 models.
11. Reattach the water pump pulley, tightening the bolts to 18 foot pounds (25 Nm).
12. Reattach and reinstall all components in reverse order to their removal, tightening the belt tensioner pulley bolts to 37 foot pounds (50 Nm) and the air cleaner assembly bolts to 106 inch pounds (12 Nm).
13. Reattach the negative battery cable and refill the cooling system. Start the car and check for leaks when the engine reaches normal operating temperature.
