Use A Wiper Motor Inside A Buick Century

Buick equipped the 2005 model-year Century automobiles with a two-speed, open in fashion Engine to propel the windscreen wipers. The wiper government module controls wiper Engine velocity by varying the voltage going to the Engine. Generation and application leads to wear in the wiper Engine bearings and insulation breakdown of the windings in the Engine, reducing or eliminating Engine performance. Due to the interpretation of the Engine as a sealed unit, identical Engine components cannot be changed and the Engine must be changed as a solid.


Install and torque the motor retainer screws to 62 inch-lbs. with a 1/4-inch torque wrench and socket.7. Place the control module and wiper motor in their recess.



Pull the washer hose off of the air intake grille nipple by labourer. Remove the booming plastic mounting screws with a screw Chauffeur. Remove the air grille retainer pins with the door trim pad and garniture clip remover.


2. Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position. Turn the wipers on with the wiper governance switch. Turn the ignition switch "Off" when the wipers grasp the backside of their drive.


3. Pull the washer fluid hoses off of the wiper arm nipples by plam. Remove the wiper arm retainer seed with a wrench. Remove the wiper arm from the wiper transmission with the wiper arm puller.


4. Remove the water deflector retainer pin with the door trim pad and decoration clip remover . Remove the water deflector from the wiper Engine.


5. Disconnect the wiper transmission arm from the wiper Eccentric person arm with the wiper transmission separator.


Installation


6. Settle the original Engine onto the ascendancy module.

Instructions

Removal

1. Up thrust the hood.


Snap the electrical connector into place by hand.


8. Install the wiper control module mounting bolts and torque them to 89 inch-lbs. with a 1/4-inch torque wrench and socket.


9. Place the water deflector in position on the motor. Install the retainer pin by hand.


10. Install the washer hoses onto their nipples on the wiper arms by hand. Install the air intake grille and snap the retainers into place by hand. Install the three large, plastic screws with a screwdriver. Push the washer fluid hose onto the air grille nipple by hand.
