Heater Core Removal Inside A 1995 Pontiac Grand Am

The heater core on a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am uses the heat from the coolant that circulates nailed down the engine to supply heat for the climate dominion transaction in the motorcar. Instructions


1. Application the parking brake on the Grand Am, lift the front of the vehivle with the jack, and lay the jack stands under the machine. Accommodation turn blocks on all sides of the rear wheels.


2. Slide a remove pan under the radiator, and loosen the petcock on the model of the radiator to empty outside the coolant. Change the bleed pan to underneath the firewall, close to the heater core lines.


3. Open the driver's door, and remove the trim panels on the underside of the dashboard on the driver's and passenger side with a three-eighths-inch ratchet and socket. Pull the heater core access cover located on the underside of the glove box off of the dash using the ratchet and socket.5. Unbolt the heater core from the underside of the dashboard with the ratchet and socket, then pull the heater core out from the inside of the Pontiac.


Remove the hose clamps on the heater hoses with pliers or a slotted screwdriver, depending on what kind of clamps are on the lines. Lower the car off the jack stands with the jack.4.
