Instructions

7. Take out the weatherstripping from the top edge. You might need to cut through a butyl strip with a knife, but don't cut through the adhesive.
8. Detach any trim panels within the corners of the window frame. They may be clipped on, requiring a trim stick, or screwed on, requiring a screwdriver.
9. Disconnect the bolts mounting the window glass to the regulator with a wrench. On some models, you may also need to remove a window runner guide by removing its bolts and lift it out of the door through the opening.
10. Lift the window glass up and out of the door frame, tilting it toward the inside of the door. Use caution if the glass is cracked or damaged. Grab hold of the inner trim panel and lift it up and away from the door to disengage it from its clips. Disconnect any electrical connectors behind the panel.5.
