Remove An Ignition Switch

The ignition switch is the Element on all vehicles that is normally mounted on the genuine side of the steering column where you contain the ignition vital. Removing an ignition switch on many vehicles requires that you annex the ignition principal. The switch Testament not come elsewhere of the steering string without it in most cases. Happily, the switch mechanism is relatively inexpensive to interchange once you discharge remove it.


On other vehicles it is just below the ignition switch.3. Push the pin all the way into the hole and apply upward pressure on the pin.



2. Slide the pin punch into the inconsiderable gap underneath the ignition switch. On some vehicles the gap is underneath the steering column and directly below the ignition switch.

Instructions

1. Cover the primary into the ignition and turn the vital to the "II" position.



4. Pull the ignition switch and cylinder out of the steering column while applying upward pressure on the pin. The pin is pushing the release tab on the back of the switch and cylinder assembly to release the cylinder lock and switch.
