Swapping elsewhere the inventory turbo is a familiar knowledge for owners of the 1995 Eclipse GST or one of the other turbo DSM vehicles. Produced from 1995 to 1999, the moment siring turbo Mitsubishi Eclipse came equipped with a Garrett T25 turbocharger. The T25 is slightly smaller than the preceding age Eclipse 14B turbocharger, which was designed to play down turbo delay. The T25 can be a bottleneck within the turbo action for modified Eclipses, unable to create relevant boost coercion beyond the inventory numbers. Installing a larger turbo on your Eclipse GST Testament authorize you to efficiently canter a higher boost pressure than the inventory T25, thus dramatically increasing dormant horsepower.

Instructions

Withdraw the engine's oil and radiator fluid To admit Emigration of turbo oil/coolant lines. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield at the front of the engine, allowing access to the turbocharger.

2.3. Loosen the hose telephone that secures the intake to the turbocharger inlet, then remove the intake. Disconnect all oil and coolant lines routed into the inventory turbo.

Unplug the Chauffeur's side radiator fan, then remove the two mounting screws that occupation the fan to the radiator. Lift the fan elsewhere of the engine bay To admit space for removing the turbo.
