9. Measure the length of your resonator with a tape measure. Measure that distance inward on your tailpipe and mark the spot with your black Sharpie marker. Use tube cutters to make a straight cut through your tailpipe at the Sharpie marking.


10. Disconnect the tailpipe from your car. Reference your automobile owner's manual for more model-specific instructions. Bring the tailpipe and resonator to a welding service so that they can be conjoined.


11. Coat the seam between the resonator and the tailpipe with heat-resistant spray paint to inhibit rusting. Use a metallic color that will blend in to your automobile well.


12. Install the tailpipe, now with the resonator installed on the tip, back into your car. Again, reference your automobile owner's manual for model-specific instructions.
