Replace the fender flare, fuel filler trim ring, tail lamps and license plate holder. They can be powder coated or painted to match your vehicle's colour. Corner guards are attached using countersink hardware for a smooth appearance. They hire the works taillight meeting.
Instructions
Preparation
1. Unpack the corner guard utensils. Test that all the hardware and manufacturer's chaperon are included.13. Clamp the corner back in place and install and secure the hardware.14.
3. Concede corner guards Day and night to dry in a Disinfected, room-temperature sphere.
4. Disassemble the existing fender meeting. Remove the rear circle fender flares from both the Chauffeur and passenger side of the vehicle. Remove the inner fender liners and the tail light assemblies. Abutting, unscrew and remove the licence plate and holder, then the fuel filler trim call. Last of all, remove the tail gate (provided required).
5. Disinfected all areas where the corner guards are to be installed, using a gentle abrasive cleaner.
Installation
6. Flight masking tape on all sides of the column of the corner guard panel to protect the panel and the Jeep's distemper from scratches and chips.
7. Ally the top borderline of the corner guard panel with the backside border of the soft top mounting inveigh. Clamp the panel into accommodation. Scribe the two alignment holes in the panel.
8. Drill the two alignment holes with the 1/4-inch drill bit (the panel comes with two pre-drilled alignment holes) through the body panel of the Jeep. Use the enclosed hardware to secure the panel to the Jeep.
9. Locate and drill the remaining mounting holes in the panel. Use the center punch to mark the hole locations. Exercise caution when marking holes; you will need access to these holes behind the panel to tighten the hardware.
10. Mark the backside of the corner guard panel with a scribe for the hardware that attaches the fuel filler trim ring, fender flares, tail lamps and license plate holder.
11. Remove the corner guards and drill the holes for the hardware. De-burr all of the holes you have drilled with the small file. Coat the bare metal with paint to prevent rust.
12. Apply a bead of silicone around the outer edge of the corner panel and all openings to prevent water from getting in the cargo area and behind the corner, which can lead to rust.
