Moderate the Radiator on a 1999 Honda Civic
A damaged radiator leaks fluid and must be replaced or repaired. Most Car stuff shops obtain replacement radiators for frequent cars in inventory or can form them. Replacing the radiator in a 1999 Honda Civic is simpler than in other cars--the by oneself bolt is manageable to catch, and bagatelle gets in the fashion as the radiator and fan meeting slides absent. Refill the radiator with the drained coolant and allow the car to warm up. Fill the coolant reservoir until the fluid level reaches the full line.
Remove the radiator cap and direct the plastic remove plug on the rear of the radiator To admit the fluid to withdraw.
2. Squeeze the tabs on the hose clamps with a twosome of pliers and slide them back. Unhook the hoses. There should be a mammoth hose at the top and backside of the radiator, and two little hoses at the bottom.
3. Unplug the electrical connector for the fan. It is near the top of the fan on the left side.
4. Remove the bracket at the top of the radiator with a 13mm wrench.
5. Slide the radiator up and out of the engine compartment. Unscrew the four bolts that connect the fan to the radiator and remove the fan. The bolts are also 13mm.
6. Replace the radiator. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure that the feet of the radiator seat themselves into the rubber cushions in the bottom of the radiator compartment.
7. The total case should receive approximately an lifetime.
