Both lights should land 2 inches below the long horizontal strip of tape. In terms of the shorter strips, the passenger's side light should hit the mark directly, but the driver's side should be 1 inch to the right. Remove any extraneous weight from the vehicle to replicate typical driving conditions and have an assistant sit in the driver's seat. Having the proper amount of weight will allow you to accurately determine the angle of the light beams.2. Mark the wall with masking tape along the center lines of both the passenger's and driver's side headlights.

Along the top and on one of the sides you will find two adjustment screws. The top screw controls the vertical angle, and the side screws adjusts the horizontal. Use a flat head screwdriver to tighten or loosen these screws until the light from the projection beam hits the intended mark. Repeat this step with the passenger's side headlight.
