5. Support the fuel tank with a transmission jack and remove all necessary bolts and straps. Lower the tank enough to remove the filler hose. Lower the tank a bit more and disconnect the valve hose from the front of the tank. Take off the clamp and vent hose and pull the tank carefully out of the vehicle.


6. Position the new fuel tank on the transmission jack and put the filler tube carefully into the tank. Put the filler vent line through the rail, but don't cross the lines. Reconnect the remaining components in the order in which they were removed.


7. Lubricate the fuel line with motor oil if necessary, then remove the vehicle from the jack stand, reconnect the negative battery cable and install the filler cap. Fill the tank with fuel.
