Instructions
1. Allot and file the 11 badge vehicle identification amount located on the top of the Chauffeur's side of the dashboard. The identification unit is stamped into a metal plate and riveted to the dashboard.
2. Administer the Chauffeur's door and fix the Mustang's certification label affixed to the door jam. The label is a square-shaped sticker. Note that the vehicle's identification number is printed on the label.
3. Compare the vehicle identification number from the metal plate on top of the dashboard to the identification number on the certification label on the door jam. Those two numbers should match.
4. Read the first digit of the vehicle identification number. The first number for all 1970 Mustang's is "0."
These engines were only installed in Boss Mustangs.5. Read the fifth digit of the vehicle identification number. The fifth digit of a Boss Mustang's vehicle identification number will be either the letter "G" or the letter "Z." The letter "G" indicates that the vehicle was equipped with the Boss 302 engine. The letter "Z" indicates that the vehicle was equipped with the Boss 429 engine.
