Replace A Caliper Inside A Ford Explorer

1. Stand and back the vehicle on the jack stand on the location you exigency. Loosen the lug nuts and remove the revolve.


2. Don't let it hang by the brake hose.3. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper and plug the hose. Remove the caliper from the rotor. Remove the caliper slide pin bolts. Lift the caliper off of the anchor plate. Suspend the caliper with wire or position it on a frame member.



4. Accommodation the caliper over the brake pads and affiliate the slide pin mounting holes. Install the slide pin bolts, tightening them to 24 foot pounds.


5. Connect the brake hose to the caliper. Exercise different washers on the bolt and tighten it to 26 foot pounds.


6. Reinstall the turn and tighten the lug nuts to 100 foot pounds. Lower the vehicle.
