Instructions
Remove the Old Motor Mount
1. Disconnect the ground, battery cable using a wrench.
2. Jack up the front of your vehivle using a floor jack and advice it on two jack stands, whether you are removing a Engine mount on the lower incision of the engine compartment so that you get period to drudge underneath the vehicle.
3. Agency the engine with the floor jack on the side where you extremity to remove the motor mount.
4.12. Connect the ground, battery cable using the wrench. Use a backup wrench and another wrench, or ratchet and socket to remove the bolts and nuts.
5. Remove the motor mount-to-block bolts and nuts using the backup wrench and the wrench, or ratchet and socket. If necessary, raise the engine slightly with the floor jack supporting the engine.
6. Lift the motor mount off the engine compartment.
Install the New Motor Mount
7. Place the new motor mount on the engine, and start the mount-to-block bolts by hand. Make sure the bolts are correctly installed to avoid damage to the threads. Do not tighten the bolts yet.
8. Align the motor mount with the frame bracket or brackets, and start the corresponding bolts and nuts by hand. Do not tighten them yet. If necessary, lower the engine slightly, and use a pry bar to align the motor mount to the mounting bracket.
9. Tighten the motor mount-to-block bolts and nuts using the backup wrench and the wrench, or ratchet and socket.
10. Tighten the mount-to-frame bolts and nuts using the backup wrench and the wrench, or ratchet and socket.
11. Remove the floor jack from under the engine.
Unscrew the fasteners holding the motor mount to the engine-compartment frame bracket. Depending on your particular vehicle model, there might be a side and lower bracket. Look carefully around the motor mount to make sure you remove all the bolts holding the mount to the car frame.
