9. Repeat the procedure for the other end of the drive shaft. Slide the drive shaft slip yoke back into the transfer case, being careful not to damage the oil seal on the case. Lift the rear of the drive shaft up to the yoke on the rear differential.


10. Install the four retaining bolts into the drive shaft and rear differential. Tighten them with a socket and ratchet, then torque them to the manufacturer's specifications with a torque wrench.


11. Support the Jeep with the jack, remove the jack stands and lower the Jeep to the ground. Test drive the Jeep, listening for any noises or vibrations. There should not be any noises or vibrations if the U-joints are properly installed.
