Switch The Alternator On The 1990 Acura

Acura is the luxury edge of automobiles manufactured by the Honda Engine Firm. Instructions


1. Emptied the engine compartment and disconnect the annulling battery terminal by loosening the terminal seed with a wrench.


2. Turn the alternator adjusting bolt counterclockwise with a ratchet and socket until the cummerbund is loose Sufficiently to pull off of the alternator pulley. Pull the zone off of the alternator. Disconnect the electrical wires by loosening the peanut with a wrench then unplug the wiring harness from the alternator.


3. Adjust the belt tension by turning the adjusting bolt clockwise with the socket and ratchet until you can depress the belt only about ¼ of an inch on its longest span with your finger.5. Reconnect the battery terminal and tighten the nut with the wrench.


Tighten the mounting bolts with the socket and ratchet. Reconnect the electrical wires and tighten the nuts with the wrench. Plug the alternator wiring harness into the new alternator. Remove the alternator mounting bolts with a socket and ratchet then pull it away of the car.4. Install the new alternator in the car and slip the belt over the pulley.
