Remove Window Trim Within An Old Vehicle

Any type of automobile Testament keep window trim. It goes around the windows and doors of cars to help keep the elements out. Window car trim can become worn and damaged over time, requiring replacement. Clean the dirt and grime from the area with soap and a wet rag. Scrub all around the perimeter where the window trim was located, and continue until you have removed all the grime. Dry the area thoroughly with a clean rag upon completion.

Instructions

1. Locate the trim surrounding all the car's windows. Inspect the area to see whether any spots have become worn or cut, which will make for easier removal if a spot has already become damaged and will allow you to cut it easily.

2. Open all the car's doors, and roll down all of the windows from which you plan to remove the molding. Score the trim of the first window at any point with a utility knife, and slide a trim removal tool underneath it. Begin prying it up with the removal tool. Slide the tool farther and farther under the trim until you have enough room to pull it up with your hand.

3. Pull up on the window trim carefully so it does not break off. Pull all the way around the window. If the trim breaks off, cut it again and repeat the process. Move on to the next window, and take off the trim in the exact same way. Remove the trim from all windows, and inspect the area where the trim was to see whether any pieces remain.

4. Replacing window trim on a car is a job you can complete in an extremely short amount of time. The first step toward replacing the trim involves removing it. No matter the age of the car, window trim removal will follow the same simple procedure.
