An improved scratch Testament be less noticable. Advance to handle the automobile scratch remover to the scratch until the scratch disappears. Spread also scratch remover onto the cotton cloth whether it dries away during employ.
3. Cause wet/dry sandpaper to remove the scratch in the fine coat Car Stop provided the remover does not exchange the scratch. Submerge the sandpaper in a bucket of flood for 10 minutes. Fold the paper down the centre with the sanding side exposed. The folded edge creates a small sanding surface to apply to the scratch, increasing precision.
Remove the polish from the clear coat with a buffer pad. Use a brisk circular motion to buff the polish off. The polish will remove the final traces of the micro-scratches left from the sandpaper and leave the clear coat slightly glossy.10. Examine the surface of the scratch to note any difference. Sand again if the scratch remains. Continue the sanding process, examining the scratch every few strokes until you've sanded away the scratch entirely. Keep the sandpaper wet as you work. Refold the paper when the edge of the sandpaper dulls. While sanding removes the damage, it also dulls the clear-coated area.
5. Use the same process to remove scuff marks in the clear coat from brushes with foliage or from a car buffer leaving swirls in the clear-coat. Be careful to only sand the affected area, using the flat of the sandpaper rather than the folded edge.
6. Clean the dulled area with a clean cloth to remove any sanding residue.
7. Apply the auto scratch remover to a cotton cloth in the size of a quarter and buff the dulled area, using moderate force on the cloth to smooth out the micro-scratches left from sanding. The surface will be clear but still dulled.
8. Pour finishing polish onto the surface of a microfiber applicator pad, a dab about the size of a quarter. Rub the polish onto the buffed area of the clear coat. Wait about 15 minutes for the polish to dry to a cloudy haze.
9.4. Sand the scratched area with the sandpaper. Apply a few short strokes only, less than five, with light pressure on the paper across the surface of the scratch.
Wax the vehicle to seal in the repairs and even out the look of the repaired area with remainder of the car's finish. Apply the wax using a clean terry cloth. Remove the wax with another clean terry cloth.
