4. Attach the new lock assembly. Place each half of the new lock assembly around the steering column and secure them with bolts in the pre-threaded bolt holes. The new assembly should be supplied with new shear bolts, which you can use if you desire the additional security. Another option is to use ordinary bolts, which will make future ignition switch replacements much easier.
5. Replace the steering wheel console. Position the two halves of the console through the stalk switches on either side of the steering wheel console. Reattach the screws removed in Step 1.
