Remove Rear Loudspeakers Inside A 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Removing the rear speakers allows you to install latest ones.

The average 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse came with four speakers. Two are in the front door panels, however the other two are in the backseat side panels. Accessing and removing these speakers is not all the more contrastive than in other vehicles, apart from that the speaker panels are partially covered by the rear seat. At early glance, it appears there are no screws or bolts mounting the panel, on the other hand once the seat cushion is removed, they incline visible.

Instructions

1. Unhook the contradiction battery cable (-) from the battery display with a twosome of pliers.7. Remove the four Phillips screws mounting the speaker in place. Pull the speaker from its cavity and unplug the speaker's electrical connection.8.

This allows better access to the backseat world.

3. Lift the straps along the bottom-front of the backseat cushion. Pull the cushion out of the Eclipse.

4. Remove the three Phillips screws from the panel that houses the speaker. These screws are visible with the backseat cushion removed.

5. Remove the single Phillips screw from the shock cover panel (toward the rear of the seating area). With the screw removed, lift this panel away to provide complete access to the side speaker panel.

6. Insert a door trim tool underneath the side panel that houses the speaker. Push the tool handle back to pop out the panel retaining clips. Once these clips are out, carefully pull the side panel away and set it aside.

Pull the cable gone from the advertise to prevent contact, which could basis shock when handling electrical components.2. Procedure the front bucket seats forward using the seat adjusters.

Repeat the procedure for the other side (driver and passenger side are the same).
