2. Pull the rear wheel away from the drive shaft. Lower the wheel to the ground once the wheel is completely detached from the drive shaft. Reinstall the rear wheel following the reverse order of disassembly.


Lower the rear brake caliper away from the wheel and swingarm. Remove any spacers from the rear wheel.


4. Lift the motorcycle onto its centre stand, if equipped, or use a motorcycle stand to lift the rear wheel off of the ground. Remove the rear axle's lock nut completely.3. Support the rear wheel with one hand, and pull the rear axle out of the swingarm.
