Take Away The Dashboard Of The Fox Mustang

Ford introduced a bitty and efficient platform in 1978 on which many of its cars. Called the Fox platform, it served Ford until the early 1990s. Many Fords used this platform, including the Fairmont, Granada, LTD and the Mustang. Instructions


1. Place the four retaining bolts from the centre armrest and remove them with a wrench. Lift the armrest straight up and distance it aside. Remove the retaining screws from the centre console trim with a Phillips screwdriver, and then lift the trim straight up. Unplug the wiring connectors from the backside of the trim, and then grind it over the fist brake ear and abode it aside.


2. Remove the radio retaining screws with a socket and ratchet. Pull the radio straight outside of the sprint, and then unplug all of the wiring connectors from the back side of the radio. Field the radio aside. Twist the shifter haft off in a counterclockwise order. Remove the console retaining screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and then lift the console straight up and over the shifter. Levy the console aside.


3. Plain the doors and remove the front screw on Everyone sill plate with a Phillips-head screwdriver to Proceeds the kick panels. Slide Everyone kick panel toward the rear of the machine, and then area them aside. Remove the four retaining screws from the heater state panel with a Torx screwdriver. Let the ascendancy panel hang down elsewhere of the pathway.


4. Remove the four retaining bolts on the underside of the steering limit (two are near the brake pedal at the firewall, and two are near the hood Proceeds application) with a socket and ratchet. Authorize the steering line to hang down gone from the dashboard.


5. Remove the retaining screws from the plastic trim portion on top of the dashboard over the instrument gauges with a Torx screwdriver. Up thrust the trim up, unplug the wiring connectors from the back side, and then assign the trim aside.

6. Remove the retaining screws from the gauge Swarm with a Torx screwdriver, and then pull it straight outside from the dashboard. Unplug the wiring connectors from the back side of the Swarm, and then abode it aside. Lift the dashboard straight up and remove it from the car.
