Ford Mustangs from the 1999 model-year were equipped at the workshop with two pairs of 6x8 inch speakers--one twosome in the front doors and the other twosome in the rear deck. Installing advanced speakers Testament contain removing the door panels and the rear deck panel to access the archetypal speakers. The do-it-yourself audio fanatic is right equipped to apply this task--only share tools are required, so with the investment of an afternoon's age, you can bias the berth done yourself.
Remove the Phillips head screw from the coat hooks on each side of the car to remove the coat hooks.8. Pry outwards on the rear upper panels with a panel tool to remove the panels. Remove one panel at a time, one from each side.
Remove the two Phillips head screws from underneath the panel to remove the window and lock switches. Catch gone two exceeding Phillips head screws on the door panel, exposed by removing the switch panel.
2. Bag the panel item to pry off the triangular panel at the top front wrinkle of the door panel.
3. Pry absent the round-headed plastic pin from the front line of the door panel. Pry out the trim around the door release handle.
4. Slide the door panel up to remove it.
5. Remove the four Phillips head screws from the perimeter of the speaker to remove it. Unplug the wiring on the back of the speaker.
6. Plug the new speaker in and test its operation. Place the speaker into the door and secure it with the Phillips head screws. Reassemble the door panel by reversing the above steps. Replace the speaker in the other door panel using the same method.
Rear Speakers
7. Fold down the rear seat back. Pry open the covers on the seat belt hangers on both sides of the seat and remove the Torx T-50 bolt from each one. Push in on then pry out the round-headed pin below the seat belt hanger.

Front Door Speakers
1. Pry gone the top limit of the faculty switch panel on the door with a panel thing.9. Remove the three 10 mm bolts from the front edge of the panel behind the rear seat with a 10 mm socket and ratchet.
10. Pry out the two round-headed pins on the front edge of the rear deck panel. Lift the panel up and pull it forward to remove it.
11. Remove the four Phillips head screws holding each speaker in place. Pull out the speakers and disconnect their wiring. Plug in the new speakers and test their operation. Place the speakers into the opening in the rear panel that you removed the original speakers from and secure them with the Phillips head screws. Replace the panels removed earlier.
