Bypass The Parking Brake With An Avic N2

Settler's AVIC-N2 is a single-DIN in-dash multipurpose receiver. The N2 utilizes a fold-out Shade to supply detailed steering ammo and media playback. The Shade is further touch-capable, allowing for a exceeding intuitive user interface. The N2 is designed to be installed with a especial cable that verifies that the vehicle's parking brake is in area before allowing some of the unit's deeper advanced features. This is designed as a safety system to prevent drivers from diverting their attention to the unit. Instructions


1. Disconnect the negative power cable from your vehicle's negative battery terminal.


Crimp the light green wire connector onto the red wire on the wiring harness. Crimp the connector onto the wire on the opposite side of the inline fuse resistor from the receiver.6.



4. Disconnect the light green wire from the parking brake switch wire.


5.2. Remove your receiver from the dashboard and locate the wiring harness at the back of the unit.3. Trace the light green wire until you find the point where it is connected to the parking brake switch supply wire.


Reconnect the negative battery cable to the negative battery terminal.
