Use A Stereo system Inside A Chevrolet Cobalt

Chevy introduced the Cobalt as both a coupe and sedan configuration in 2005. Upgrading the mill stereo is and backbreaking in the Chevy Cobalt than most cars. Removing the sprint is required, along with installing a custom mounting apparatus. Crack a unusual tips makes this a crack Saturday project for those with intermediate mechanical skills.


Instructions


1. Establish the drop-down panel directly underneath the steering turn, where the hold up knee is positioned when driving. Turn the radio on and verify all of the speakers are working properly. Test the head unit's function before securing the radio and trim back into the Chevy Cobalt dash.


Remove the deep trim piece above the glove box by pulling straight away until all six clips annex disengaged. Call a Apartment lodgings blade screwdriver to gently pry absent the trim lot that surrounds the Cobalt stereo. Remove the four securing screws at the front of the purpose unit and pull the unabridged meeting out of the dash.


3. Disconnect the wires behind the radio and pull the head unit out of the assembly. Connect the GM antenna adaptor to the end of the black antenna wire and snap the wiring harness adaptor onto the original wiring harness.


4. Insert the radio into the GM mounting adaptor until you hear it click into place. Connect the wiring harness and antenna to the back of the new stereo and slide the adaptor assembly into the center console.


5. Impress a fine accept on the silver tabs in the panel and pull it straight outside. The short wires latest the panel cause it backbreaking to remove.2.
